30 kW solar power plant with backup power: turnkey price in Ukraine 2026

A turnkey 30 kW hybrid solar plant with a 20 kWh battery costs UAH 758,000–990,000 in 2026, VAT included. In a power cut a full battery keeps the essentials (router, lights, fridge, boiler pump — 0.4 kW) running for about 42 h, and the panels recharge it every sunny day. Near Kyiv the plant produces about 33,750 kWh a year.

Savings and payback

For a household using 15,000 kWh a year, the system saves about UAH 105,170 in the first year and pays back in about 8 years. About 36% of the production is used on site; the rest goes to the grid at the surplus price.

With the 20 kWh battery the payback is about 8 years; without it, about 6 years. The battery's main value here is power during outages.

No subsidies, no price increases beyond the market module's escalation; the plan for your roof uses your own bill.

Financing that fits

  • State energy loan (Енергокредит): UAH 10,000–480,000 for owners of private houses; 0% in the first year of the loan, 5% in the second, 7% in the third. After installation the state repays 20–30% of the loan principal depending on the equipment bundle (25% for solar with an inverter and a battery).
  • Above UAH 480,000 (the rest from your own funds): 30 kW, no battery; 30 kW + 20 kWh battery; 30 kW + 30 kWh battery.
  • EBRD loan with a grant (ESSF) at partner banks: 15% of the cost without VAT back after installation, systems up to 30 kW.
  • One loan finances the system: the state repayment or the EBRD grant, not both.

Questions

How much does a 30 kW solar plant cost in 2026?

30 kW, no battery: UAH 507,000–662,000; 30 kW + 20 kWh battery: UAH 758,000–990,000; 30 kW + 30 kWh battery: UAH 863,000–1,128,000. VAT included, turnkey, before subsidies (SolarPlan price index, data as of 29 September 2026).

How many panels does a 30 kW system need, and how much roof?

About 69 panels of 440 W (135 m² of panels) — roughly 170 m² of house roof.

How much electricity does a 30 kW system produce a year?

About 33,750 kWh near Kyiv. By place: from 33,750 kWh in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast to 39,660 kWh in Odesa Oblast.

How long does a 30 kW system take to pay back?

About 8 years for a household using 15,000 kWh a year, without subsidies; first-year savings about UAH 105,170.

How many hours will a 20 kWh battery keep the house running?

About 42 h for the essentials (0.4 kW), about 17 h at 1.0 kW and about 8 h at 2.0 kW, from a full battery. The panels recharge it during the day.

Can I get a 0% loan for a 30 kW solar plant?

The state energy loan (Енергокредит) lends UAH 10,000–480,000 to owners of private houses: 0% in the first year of the loan, 5% in the second, 7% in the third, then the bank's rate. This configuration (UAH 758,000–990,000) is above the limit in part: the rest comes from your own funds.

Single-phase or three-phase?

A 30 kW system normally uses a three-phase inverter. The company checks your connection (and the permitted power) before quoting.
