Household grant for solar panels (Environmental Investment Fund, 2026 rules)
Homeowners can get back 70% of the equipment cost of solar panels (85% for Honorary Family certificate holders), capped by system size: from €700 below 1 kW to €4,000 from 10 kW (e.g. €2,500 for 5–6 kW). Apply to the Environmental Investment Fund after installation; the whole project is capped at €15,000. The estimate uses €350 per kW, up to €4,000.

Who qualifies
Private owners of a one- or two-flat house who live in Latvia; apartment buildings apply through their owners' representative under separate caps.
How to apply
Apply through the official page. Check these points first:
- Buildings: detached homes, semi-detached homes, terraced homes
- You are a private person with declared permanent residence in Latvia and your ownership is entered in the Land Register
- At least 80% of the electricity the system produces each year is used on site
- The equipment is bought from a company registered in Latvia, installed after 12 Sep 2026 and kept for 5 years
- The grant is paid once after installation; funds are limited and the call closes when they run out (at the latest 31 Dec 2029)
- System size counts as the smaller of the panel and inverter power
