Income-tax reduction for building-upgrade spending (art. 39B Income Tax Code)
Money you spend in 2026 on energy upgrades of a building you own — including a self-consumption solar system and its battery — reduces your income tax, spread equally over five years, up to €16,000 in total and €3,200 a year. Installation services count in full, but equipment counts only up to one third of the services, so for a solar system usually only about a fifth of the invoice counts. The estimate uses 20% of the cost.
